Is nSAT available for purchase?

At present, nSAT provides users with leasing to obtain it, through leasing, users do not need to purchase expensive nSAT, pay high satellite communication monthly fees or satellite communication account start-up fees, can enjoy Saveq services, to achieve a fair consumption by pay-as-you-go. In the future, nSAT will continue to carry out software and hardware updates, as well as functional improvements and upgrades, to provide users with a better user experience.

Does nWATCH offer a rental service?

nWATCH is a sports smartwatch and for hygienic reasons is only available for sale.

Do I need to pay for shipping when purchasing nWATCH or renting nSAT?

The shipping cost for sending the product is included; users only need to cover the cost of returning nSAT.

Why is there an additional two days (n + 2) when renting nSAT?

The nSAT rental period includes an extra day before and after your planned itinerary to account for shipping time. For instance, if your itinerary is from 8/3 to 8/8, the rental period will be from 8/4 to 8/9 (additional days may be needed for remote areas). If you choose N3D's partnered mountain service team, you can receive nSAT from the guide on the first day of your trip, eliminating the need for the extra two days in the rental period.

If a user has a short gap between two trips, can they temporarily retain nSAT?

If the gap between rental periods is within seven days, users can choose to pay an additional fee for three days and temporarily keep nSAT. They can return it once all rental periods have concluded.

How is the satellite communication fee calculated?

The cost for each message sent or received via satellite signal is 14 NTD, and users can also use N3D points to obtain more favorable pricing. Messages can be up to 180 bytes (approximately 180 alphanumeric characters or 60 Chinese characters).

What are the advantages of using nNAVI, nSAT and nWATCH at the same time?

Since Saveq's whole service includes nNAVI, nSAT and nWATCH devices with different functions, it is recommended that users use the full suite of products and services, pair nNAVI, nSAT and nWATCH with each other and wear them throughout the trip to provide complete information services (physiological monitoring, environmental information, satellite communication, etc.).

Under what circumstances is the Saveq service necessary?

It is advisable for users to utilize the Saveq service during extended mountain expeditions. This ensures the ability to send text messages and distress signals using satellite communication services in areas lacking mobile network coverage. Moreover, Saveq offers users professional insights and guidance based on environmental changes and personal physiological signals during outdoor activities, aiding in informed decision-making and risk reduction

How to provide effective SOS messages to SAR teams in Saveq?

nSAT has a built-in accident detection function, which can be manually activated by the user. Once turned on, it will enter the alert mode and send the user's route, physiological monitoring (if users wear nWATCH) and other information to the nCloud service platform. nCloud will then forward the user's real-time message to the SAR personnel and emergency contacts to enhance the efficiency of the SAR teams. At the same time, the user can track the progress of the SAR team, so that the user feel relieved.

How does Saveq notify rescue personnel when a user needs assistance?

When a user sends an SOS, nCloud automatically receives the distress signal and reports it via SMS through the Deaf and Hard of Hearing 911 service. Additionally, the SMS includes a dedicated username and password for rescue personnel to access user information in the system.

What is the difference between the Saveq service and bringing satellite phone?

Satellite phones are affected by the communication environment and the quality of communication cannot be guaranteed, resulting in call interruptions. In addition, when an accident occurs, the user may not be able to call for help on his/her own. Compared to a satellite phone, nSAT will activate the automatic SOS function and provide complete information about the user, including location, health and safety conditions, etc., to SAR personnel. At the same time, the user and their family or friends can keep track of user’s current health status and the progress of the SAR through nNAVI.

How does Saveq ensure communication quality in mountainous areas?

nSAT uses Iridium, a US satellite service with 66 globally operating non-geostationary LEO satellites covering 96% of the Earth's surface, which provides the best communication quality. nSAT automatically switches to satellite communication when there is no signal from the mobile phone, ensuring that users can send and receive messages at all times. Users are reminded that satellite communications can be affected by special terrain, such as canyons and caves.

Does Saveq offer services outside Taiwan?

Currently, the Saveq service is available in Taiwan, but we are actively seeking overseas partners to expand our service to other countries. If users plan to go abroad for mountaineering activities and have emergency contacts in different countries, they can still use the Saveq service to send text messages via satellite communication.

How to add an emergency contact in nNAVI?

Emergency contacts need to register an nNAVI member account in advance, and after confirming the registration, users can add emergency contacts via email. In addition, it is recommended that users enable the function of trip sharing so that emergency contacts can view the user's trip information (stay trip) for security purposes.

How to send an SOS to get help by using nNAVI?

Tap SOS on the APP screen to send an emergency message, if the user touches it by mistake, just tap to enter the SOS screen to cancel the emergency message.

How will users and emergency contacts know the progress of the rescue?

After N3D receives the emergency message and alerts the SAR personnel, users can not only send messages to the SAR personnel through nNAVI, but also check the location of the SAR personnel on the route to ensure that users can track the progress of the research. In addition, emergency contacts can also view the location of users and SAR personnel through nNAVI to understand the user's situation and the progress of the search.

How can I distinguish whether a message is transmitted via mobile network or satellite communication?

nNAVI prioritizes mobile network as the primary communication method. It automatically switches to satellite communication when a mobile network is unavailable. When using nNAVI to send messages, there will be an icon on the screen indicating the current communication method, whether it's a mobile network or satellite communication.

How to pair nNAVI with nSAT and nWATCH?

nNAVI and nSAT/nWATCH can be connected via Bluetooth, after confirming that the Bluetooth of nSAT or nWATCH is turned on, you can select the nSAT or nWATCH you want to connect to via the device list in nNAVI. When the nSAT or nWATCH name turns green after tap, it means the pairing is successful.
nNAVI can scan the nSAT's QR code for pairing connection.

Why can't nNAVI be paired with nSAT?

If the user's nNAVI already has a pairing record with other nSATs, if the user wants to connect to different nSATs, please delete the old connection record on the nNAVI device list (My Devices) to connect with the new nSAT.

What is the purpose of collecting detailed personal information during registration?

As the use of Saveq services requires setting up satellite communication in order to contact the user's emergency contact and to provide the best medical service in case of need, it is necessary to store the user's detailed personal information. How to charge nSAT?

nSAT has a magnetic charging port, users can use the charger or power bank to charge it.

How to send an SOS to get help by using nSAT?

In case of an emergency, open the SOS cover and press the distress button to initiate the rescue process. If a user becomes unconscious, the built-in motion sensor in nSAT will activate the automatic distress mode upon detecting abnormal conditions.

How to pair nSAT with nNAVI?

nNAVI is connected to nSAT and nWATCH via Bluetooth and can be paired after confirming that the Bluetooth of nSAT or nWATCH is turned on. nNAVI can also be paired by scanning the QR code on nSAT.

How to wear nSAT correctly?

nSAT's back side comes with a clip, it is recommended to wear it on the shoulder strap of the backpack or somewhere at chest height; wearing it below the waist may cause misjudgment due to large movements affecting the fall detection of nSAT.

What smartwatch brands are supported by nSAT?

Currently, the Saveq service supports nWATCH with tested and have good performance, will also develop designs that can support more smartwatches in the future.

Is nSAT dustproof and waterproof?

nSAT's electronic housing has been tested and has IP67 rated (dustproof, waterproof). In addition, nSAT will also emit a fall water alarm if the user falls into the water accidentally. However, it is not recommended that nSAT be submerged in water under normal circumstances so as not to interfere with the functioning of the body.

What should users do if nSAT beeps?

nSAT has a motion detection function, if the user is still for a long time, and in accordance with nSAT's fall detection algorithm, nSAT will emit a small beep sound to confirm the user's awareness, in order to start the automatic SOS function after possible accidents, and send emergency messages to SAR personnel; if the user is safe, the user can press the SOS button within one minute of the sound to turn off the nSAT beep.

What does it mean when nSAT rings a traditional phone bell?

The traditional phone bell generated by nSAT indicates that nNAVI has sent users message to nSAT, when the satellite passes, the message will transmit to the other user's nNAVI via nCloud.

Why does the nSAT satellite communication light turn red?

A red light for satellite communication indicates that there is no satellite signal to be connected. As satellite communication is blocked by metal shelters such as woods or buildings, it is recommended move to an open and unsheltered area when the nSAT satellite communication light is red, communication will work when the satellite passes (satellite communication light is green).

How to charge nSAT?

How to connect nWATCH with nNAVI?

What are the benefits of buying insurance through N3D?

N3D has contracted with many insurance companies and will work with them from time to time to provide different insurance discount packages for users' reference. In addition, in the event of an accident, N3D will help users to get the claim service from the insurance company. In the future, when N3D provides foreign services, we can also help users communicate with foreign insurance companies or buy insurance.

Does N3D provide services other than mountaineering activities (water sports, snow sports, etc.)?

At present, N3D mainly serves mountaineering lovers with the Saveq service. In the future, N3D will continue to develop services for various outdoor activities, so that users can enhance their exploration experience through smart technology in various types of outdoor activities.

Why is satellite communication slower than mobile networks?

When there are no satellites directly overhead at the user's location, one must patiently wait for the satellites to pass to transmit messages. Typically, this process takes around 5 to 10 minutes to reestablish satellite signal.

How often do a user's physiological and environmental data get sent to nCloud? How are the costs calculated if transmitted via satellite communication?

Currently, user data regarding physiology and surrounding environmental information is transmitted to nCloud once every hour. In areas without mobile network coverage, user data on physiology and the environment will automatically switch to satellite communication and be treated as a single message, incurring a cost of 14 NTD per message.

In the future, users will have the option to choose whether to use satellite communication to transmit data to nCloud and the frequency of data transmission according to their needs.

Are there any countries where the user can't use the N3D service?

There are a few countries that require prior authorization for the use of satellite equipment, or where the use of satellite equipment is prohibited entirely. It is the user's responsibility to be aware of and comply with local laws and regulations before travelling to a foreign country.
